Benjie first came to CMC in 1984. He arrived that day as a guest, and left as part of the family. Benjie knows that being part of a family means getting involved. So, for the past 15 years he’s been doing just that, particularly in Children’s and Youth Ministry. Creating a nurturing and safe church life for the younger members of our church is something that Benjie is passionate about. His ministry has been shaped by personal experience. In his own words, Benjie strives to show all our young members that “God doesn't push people out of church, he pulls them in.” Wife Kathy and their three children — Ben, Veronica, and Danyelle — are Benjie’s partners in ministry, sharing their lives and their home with the young people of CMC. He’s further supported by a dedicated team who help to create amazing programs for the broad range of young people at our church.

Joshua and his wife, Shally, began attending CMC in 2013. He is a transplant from the western US, and misses the pine covered mountains of his upbringing.
Joshua believes Christ's righteousness is the only means by which people can be saved. He seeks to make this central to his understanding of Biblical theology, history, and prophecy. He desires to aid Capital Memorial Church in spreading this message to the DC area and beyond.
